The time is almost here — on October 13th, 2025 the Pacific Northwest Software Quality Conference (PNSQC) will make its annual return to the Portland metro area, bringing with it rich opportunities for learning about and engaging with the quality assurance industry.
Whether you’re an industry veteran or someone who is just starting their career in software testing, attendees of the Pacific Northwest Software Quality Conference can expect an engaging day of workshops followed by two full days of presentations, panels, and tutorials.

About the Pacific Northwest Software Quality Conference (PNSQC)
The Pacific Northwest Software Quality Conference was founded in 1983 and, since then, has hosted 42 annual events within the Portland area — an important hub in the tech industry. The event attracts attendees from across the globe due in large part to the wealth of technical experience, diversity of discussion topics, and valuable industry insight they gain access to by being present.
Each year the conference selects a theme that helps define the direction of conversation as well as technical papers that attendees can submit for the event as part of the ‘Poster Paper Program.’ At this year’s event, the theme is “QI: Increase Your Quality Intelligence” about which members of the PNSQC organization had this to say:
“Many aspects of quality go beyond testing. Quality is relevant to design, manufacturing, code, applications, user experience, writing/prose, and many other areas that may not be obvious….What can I do to increase the overall quality intelligence of myself, my team, and the greater community?"
The conference will take place at the University Place Hotel which is located at 310 SW Lincoln St, Portland, OR 97201 and there are a variety of packages available for participants, sponsors or exhibitors who are interested in attending the event.

What to Expect at This Year’s Event
This year is on track to be one of the most exciting Pacific Northwest Software Quality Conference’s to date. Over the course of 3 days, attendees will have the chance to hear from and engage with over 43 speakers through live panels and hands-on sessions. Topics this year include (but are not limited to) AI/ML in testing, test automation, accessibility, team management, robotics, data science, quality engineering, and so much more.
Each day begins with an opening keynote to set the stage before participants will have the chance to break out and attend a track of panels that align with their interests or professional goals. There will be so much to learn so be sure to make a plan ahead of time for the best experience.
